What to Expect

Telephone consultation:

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to briefly discuss your concerns and what kind of support you’re looking for.

Initial consultation / assessment:

During our first session you will have the opportunity to share your concerns and difficulties, the impact they have on your life, and what you would like from therapy. I may ask a number of questions about different areas of your life to understand how they are connected to your concerns, but there will be no pressure to share anything more than you feel comfortable with. You will also have the chance to ask me questions. Finally, the initial consultation will help you decide whether you feel I am the right person for you to work with.

Therapy:

If we decide to work together, I can offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions. We will spend the first few sessions (1-2) developing a detailed and shared understanding of your concerns and difficulties. After these early sessions we will agree a plan for therapy (e.g. therapeutic approach, number of sessions, frequency of sessions). You can terminate therapy at any time by letting me know in person or via telephone/email.
